Kubernetes platform on AWS for Lendwell
Moved 40 services to EKS with Terraform, GitOps deploys and autoscaling. A case study by Lukas Schmidt, Platform Engineer (Terraform & GCP).
Challenge
Lendwell, an SME lending platform, ran services on hand-configured EC2 instances. Deploys were manual, environments drifted and scaling for peaks meant someone staying up late.
Solution
I built an EKS platform with Terraform, Argo CD for GitOps deployments, cluster autoscaling with spot nodes and standard Helm charts, then migrated services one at a time.
