Getting started
How do I create an account?
Choose Sign up, enter your name, email and a password of at least 10 characters with a letter and a digit, and pick whether you want to hire or to work. A short onboarding wizard then sets up your client or freelancer profile.
Can I both hire and work with one account?
Yes. Every account can have a client profile and a freelancer profile. Use the mode switch in the top bar to move between them; dashboards, analytics and contracts follow the active mode.
What makes a strong freelancer profile?
A specific headline (“Shopify developer for DTC brands”, not “Web developer”), a realistic hourly rate, 5–12 relevant skills, a bio that names the problems you solve, and case studies with measurable results. Profiles with at least three case studies receive noticeably more invitations.
How do I try Taskora without signing up?
Open the demo panel and sign in as the demo client, the demo freelancer or the demo admin. Demo accounts are shared, so their email, name and password cannot be changed.
Which countries can use Taskora?
Clients and freelancers from any country can create a profile. Your country and timezone are shown on your profile so collaborators can plan around local working hours.
How do I reset my password?
Use Forgot password on the login page. If an account exists for that address, a reset link valid for one hour is created. Resetting the password signs you out of every other device.
Hiring on Taskora
How much does it cost to post a job?
Posting jobs is free and unlimited on every plan. Clients pay no marketplace fee on contracts; the Business plan adds team seats, shortlists and hiring analytics.
How many proposals will I get?
Most well-described jobs receive their first proposals within a few hours and 8–20 proposals within three days. Clear scope, a realistic budget and a verified payment method all increase response.
Can I invite a specific freelancer to my job?
Yes. Open the freelancer’s profile or your job’s proposal page and choose Invite. They get a notification with your message and can accept by sending a proposal.
Should I choose a fixed price or an hourly contract?
Use fixed price when the deliverable can be described up front (a landing page, a logo, a set of videos). Use hourly for ongoing or exploratory work and set a weekly hour limit. Our blog post “Fixed price vs hourly contracts” covers the trade-offs in detail.
What if the work does not match the brief?
Do not approve the milestone. Ask for changes in the contract conversation, referencing the brief. If you cannot agree, open a dispute from the contract page; funded escrow stays locked until the case is resolved.
Can I end a contract early?
Either side can cancel a contract when no milestone is funded but unreleased. Funded escrow for unstarted work is refunded to the client. If work has started, agree on a partial release first or open a dispute.
Finding work
How many proposals can I send?
Free accounts can send 10 proposals per month and Pro accounts 80. You can send one proposal per job; withdrawing within 24 hours returns the credit.
How do I know a client is serious?
Check the client card on the job: payment verification, total spent, number of hires, rating from other freelancers and how recently they viewed proposals. Avoid anyone who asks you to work or get paid outside Taskora.
When should I start working?
Only after the milestone shows Funded. Funding means the client’s money is held in escrow for that milestone, so you are protected if the client disappears.
How do I submit work for approval?
Open the contract, select the milestone and choose Submit work. Add a short note that explains what you delivered and how to review it. The client gets a notification to approve or request changes.
How do I become Top Rated?
Top Rated is awarded to freelancers with a rating of 4.8 or higher, a job success rate above 90%, at least 10 completed contracts and a fully verified profile. The badge is reviewed automatically every month.
Can I reply to a review?
Reviews are left by both sides after a contract is completed and cannot be edited. If a review contains harassment, personal data or false statements, report it and our moderators will check it against our guidelines.
Payments & fees
How does escrow work on Taskora?
The client funds a milestone before work starts. The amount is held in escrow, visible to both sides, and released to the freelancer only when the client approves the submitted work or a dispute is resolved in the freelancer’s favour.
What fees do freelancers pay?
A flat 10% service fee on released payments. A $1,000 milestone therefore adds $900 to your available balance. There are no fees for proposals, messages or withdrawals over $20.
How do I withdraw my earnings?
Go to Wallet, enter an amount of at least $20 up to your available balance, and confirm. Withdrawals are shown as pending until they are processed.
Are payments in this demo real?
No. Taskora is a demo by AdScaled without a payment provider. Funding, releases, refunds and withdrawals are simulated and every such transaction is marked as simulated. No card is ever charged.
Which currency does Taskora use?
All budgets, rates and balances are shown in US dollars, rounded to whole dollars.
What happens to escrow if a contract is cancelled?
Escrow for milestones that were funded but not started is refunded to the client. Escrow for submitted work stays locked until the client approves it or a dispute is resolved.
