CI/CD pipeline overhaul for Carewise
Fast, cached pipelines with preview environments and automatic rollbacks. A case study by Oleksandr Bondarenko, DevOps & Cloud Engineer (AWS, Kubernetes).
Challenge
Pipelines at Carewise, a telehealth provider, took 35 minutes and failed randomly. Engineers batched changes to avoid them, which made releases risky.
Solution
I rebuilt the pipelines in GitHub Actions with dependency caching, parallel test shards, container layer caching, preview environments per pull request and canary deploys with automatic rollback.
