Cloud cost reduction for Oakhaus

Challenge
The AWS bill of Oakhaus, a solid-wood furniture brand, had doubled in a year while traffic grew 20%. Nobody knew which team owned which resources.
Solution
I tagged resources by team, rightsized databases and instances, moved batch jobs to spot, added lifecycle policies to S3, bought savings plans for the stable baseline and set up budget alerts.
