Kubernetes platform on AWS for Relaybase
Moved 40 services to EKS with Terraform, GitOps deploys and autoscaling. A case study by Oleksandr Bondarenko, DevOps & Cloud Engineer (AWS, Kubernetes).
Challenge
Relaybase, a customer messaging platform, ran services on hand-configured EC2 instances. Deploys were manual, environments drifted and scaling for peaks meant someone staying up late.
Solution
I built an EKS platform with Terraform, Argo CD for GitOps deployments, cluster autoscaling with spot nodes and standard Helm charts, then migrated services one at a time.
