Character animation series for Longform Weekly
A recurring cast of characters and a series of short animated lessons. A case study by Rafael Costa, 2D Animator & Explainer Video Artist.
Challenge
Longform Weekly, an independent magazine, wanted a series of short videos with recurring characters that children would recognise and look forward to.
Solution
I designed three characters with full rigs, created a reusable set of backgrounds and animated a first season of eight two-minute episodes.
