Hacked site recovery for Medlinea
Cleaned a compromised WordPress site, found the entry point and hardened it. A case study by Samuel Adeyemi, WordPress & WooCommerce Developer.
Challenge
Medlinea, a network of physiotherapy clinics, discovered spam pages in Google and redirects to gambling sites. Their host had suspended the site.
Solution
I restored a clean copy, removed backdoors, traced the entry point to an outdated plugin, rotated all credentials, hardened the installation and requested a Google review. The site was back the next morning.
