Inventory sync engine for Brewline
Near-real-time stock sync between a warehouse system, Shopify and two marketplaces. A case study by Tomasz Kowalczyk, Backend Engineer (Go & PostgreSQL).
Challenge
Brewline, a coffee equipment store, oversold popular products several times a week because stock levels synced only every six hours between their warehouse and sales channels.
Solution
I built a sync engine that listens to warehouse events, reserves stock at order time and pushes updates to every channel within seconds, with reconciliation jobs that catch any drift overnight.
