Monolith decomposition for Fielddesk

Challenge
Fielddesk, a field service software company, deployed everything as one application. A bug in email templates could take down checkout, and deploys took 40 minutes.
Solution
I extracted billing and notifications into separate services behind clear interfaces, using the strangler pattern and an outbox table to publish events reliably. The core app became smaller and deploys faster.
