Challenge
Paycrest, a payments startup, reconciled payouts in spreadsheets. Two analysts spent most of every day matching bank lines to transactions, and month-end close regularly slipped by a week.
Solution
I designed an event-driven reconciliation service in Go that ingests processor events and bank statements, matches them with deterministic rules and fuzzy fallbacks, and surfaces only real exceptions to a small review queue.
